This silk pillowcase is naturally hand-dyed in a traditional process with Cochineal.
Cochineal (Dactylopius coccus) is a precious dye that does not come from a plant, but from an insect which lives in coccus (opuntia) in Mexico and South America. It is the only natural red colour that was approved by the Food and Drug Administration for food and cosmetic use.
Handcrafted in Greece from 100% mulberry silk double sided with thickness of 19 momme and invisible zipper.
